365 Recruitment
Sigma Nu Fraternity practices what is called 365 Recruitment. This means that we can give a prospective member a bid into our fraternity any day of the year as long as a chapter we deem them worthy of the honor. We have no “formal” recruitment process, yet we do hold many recruitment events for prospective members to attend.Sigma Nu is looking for quality men who wish to grow in and contribute to our fraternity. As a member of Sigma Nu you will learn valuable lifelong skills which will help you succeed in the real world and create unforgettable memories with Brothers who not only become lifelong friends, but also act as a network that fosters future career opportunities.
Our success stems from our determination to be the best. We strive to structure our environment around our founding principles of Love, Truth, and Honor, building an atmosphere in which our members can excel and grow. Sigma Nu's do not haze; instead, we assist each other in becoming gentlemen, leaders, and men of Honor. Why RUSH?
Being a member of a fraternity shines light down paths you may have thought you would never encounter! Joining a fraternity can be the first step to your successful future. Because of the responsibility and leadership to be gained, your characteristics and abilies are enhanced... those which you will possess for a lifetime! The following will give you some added insight and reasons why you should join a fraternity:
- A National Conference report shows a majority of the 600 NIC(National Interfraternity Council) fraternity chapters are above the All-Men's scholastic average.
- 76% of our nation's Senators, 70% of the top executives in the Fortune 500, and 71% of the men listed in Who's Who in America are Fraternity men.
- All but three U.S. Presidents in the last century were Fraternity men.
- Over 85% of the student leaders on some 730 campuses are involved in the Greek community.
- A U.S. Government study shows that over 70% of all those who join a fraternity/sororitiy graduate, while under 50% of all non-fraternity/sorority persons graduate.
- Less than 2% of an average college student's expenses go toward fraternity dues.
